Snack: Fruit Cones

Fill ice cream cones with a mixture of fresh summer fruit for the kids. Better yet, keep the kids busy by getting them to wash, prepare and create their own personalized cones.
- 4 ice cream cones
- 1 nectarine/peach or apple, sliced
- 2 oranges, peeled and segmented
- 1 cup grapes or berries
- 1 medium banana, sliced
Directions for Preparation
- Cut the peach or alternative into thin slices.
- Fill cones with the prepared fruit. Place on a plate for serving.
Fruits and vegetables can become contaminated at some point in the journey from the field to your kitchen. To prevent illness, wash your hands with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Cut away any bruised areas on fruits and vegetables. Clean your knife with hot water and soap before using it again. Wash fruits and vegetables thoroughly under fresh, cool, running water, even if you plan to peel them.
